Renee
I am a native San Diegan who often feels like I am on vacation in my own beautiful hometown. Each individual part of town inspires me in different ways. I love taking walks around the zoo absorbing all the colors nature has to offer. The downtown energy amplifies my creative thoughts and taking fashion notes and tips from my neighborhood crowd fuels my passion for style.
Upon obtaining my license I spent the next two years styling hair for film and video production including fashion shows, music videos, commercials, print advertisements and had the opportunity to work with MTV’s reality show Laguna Beach. After deciding I wanted to work behind the chair I sought out Diesel Salon for it’s eclectic style, casual atmosphere and fierce talent with a strong passion for continued education. I have completed training from both Bumble & Bumble and L’Oréal.
Personally, and as a stylist, I recognize that each person is unique in their look, culture, and style and that my service is a collaboration that reflects who you are. I know that with my passion for what I do, combined with my diverse styling skills, I can provide the ultimate experience. I am committed to continual education to master my craft and know that I have found the best place to do so.

My experience could not have been better!!! from my first step in to my last I felt very comfortable like I’ve been there before. every single person was awesome and very friendly. Renee was very helpful and knowledgeable and gave me a feeling that i wasnt just another haircut. she asked what i wanted and what type of look i was going for. i usually get clipper cuts so it was a new experience but a great one and i dont think i will go back to clippers! she is great at keeping the conversation going and the next thing i knew i was done. went in looking like Screech came out looking like Brad Pitt! Highly recommend going to Renee and Diesel Salon
Renee gave me an updo @ the Thread event and I couldn’t have been happier! It was supercute and I got complements on it all day! She was also very, very nice. Next time I need a hair cut or need it styled, I will be looking for Renee. Thanks again for doing a superb job.
Renee, or “Miss Paris” as I like to call her, is a gem. From the moment she greets you with one of the warmest smiles you’ve ever seen, to the detail she puts into her work from beginning to end and the friendly conversations you will find yourself engaged in, you will KNOW you’re in great hands. She does a superb job every time I visit her; she can answer all of your questions about styles and products; and let’s not forget the ZEN SPOT… the famous hair wash/massage/relaxation session that will put you in a trance until you wake up the next morning.
‘Nuff said, go experience it for yourself. In closing: if you ever have a bad hair day, she’s the sunshine to the rescue to brighten your day!
Amazing! I had scheduled Renee and all I can say is WOW! I am very pleased and my husband loves it. She makes what could be a regular experience exciting and fun. I will be booking with Renee for many appointments to come.
Hi my name is Gino. It has been about one year since I had my dreadlocks chopped off. I have been going to see Renee since then for my haircuts. I just wanted to let you guys know that she does a fantastic job! She usually knows what I want even when I don’t. There are always friendly attitudes in there and a mellow atmosphere (just the way i like it). Just wanted to let you guys know that I think you (and Renee) are doing a wonderful job!
Renee is absolutely fantastic! I went in there with some ideas and pictures of what I wanted and when she was finished it surpassed my expectations. She’s also totally laid back and great to talk with (and I don’t even like talking all that much).
Love the salon atmosphere as well. Will definitely book again.
