I was born and raised in Portland and moved to sunny San Diego to further my career as a stylist. I have been in the salon industry for 11 years. I began my training with Paul Mitchell, and have continued my education through Bumble & Bumble, L’Oreal, Aveda and Vidal Sassoon.
I am very energetic and naturally a people pleaser! My main goal as a stylist is to make sure my client is fully satisfied and is as excited as I am about their new customized look. I really enjoy what I do and I believe it shows through my work.
I have specialized in color and haircuts, male and female. I enjoy meeting clients and creating a beautiful look, and in turn I have been rewarded with a loyal clientle that I am truly grateful for!!!
Ashlee is simply the BEST!!! I actually had two stylists here before, but they both moved. When the receptionist assigned to me Ashlee for the first time ever, I was intrigued as to who this new stylist was. I tried signing on to the DieselSalon.com site to read up on her, but as she was so new, she didn’t have a profile up yet!
Imagine my surprise when the whole time I was in the chair, we were laughing and chatting it up. I’ve had many stylists before, but never one who acted just like a friend I’ve known forever.
On top of her top-notch personality and her ability to hold a conversation throughout the whole session, she is also the best stylist I’ve ever had (next to one of the stylists I mentioned before, who she actually went to Bumble & bumble with)
I always walk out of the salon feeling like a trillion bucks!! Thank you Ashlee, for being a talented and friendly stylist. As you wrote in your bio above, I am definitely a part of your loyal clientele! I’m excited for our upcoming appointment I’m about to book right now :D
I’m going to preface my comments about my experience with Diesel Salon by stating that I’m a guy who has developed an aversion to haircuts over the past several years. Before my first visit to Diesel, I’d gone on a seven-month stretch growing out my hair, mainly because I’d had a slew of underwhelming haircut experiences.
This place is nice, and the people there are very nice as well. Ashlee is an excellent stylist: it is clear that she knows what she is doing, which is reassuring, but more importantly, she developed a good rapport with me and makes sure that we were on the same proverbial page. It is clear to me that Ashlee is a true hair guru because she provides explanations for all of her hairstyle recommendations and because the final product is quality. She takes her time and never rushes through anything. The result? No surprises, just a solid haircut and a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. Good job Ashlee.
The last thing I want to worry about is my hair. With Ashlee that is never a concern. Every time she finishes with me, I love the way my hair looks. It makes me feel that much more confident. And I always leave with a look I can reproduce myself at home with zero effort.
Seriously, this girl rocks! I look forward to my appointments. It’s so much more than just a haircut.
