I am originally from Southern California. I grew up in Temecula and am extremely excited to now be in San Diego. I love the history and diversity of this city, the culture is constantly stimulating my creativity.
I have been a hair stylist for five years, and a part of the Diesel Salon team for a little over one year. I am truly passionate about Hair. There is nothing like the feeling you get when you have just finished your clients hair and you see them light up in the mirror. I can not imagine a more perfect craft.
Education is extremely important to me, I believe that if you are not constantly learning you become stagnant. I have been trained by some of the top educators in the industry, and always keep myself open to new trends and ideas. I strive to be conversant in every aspect of what I do, and have just recently taken the position of L’Oréal Ambassador in so I am bringing the latest and greatest L’Oréal Professional has to offer back to Diesel Salon!

So I have been to Amber for color and cut about 3 times now – and today I went in and I had been feeling kind of frumpy and starting to get old – and I showed Amber a picture, told her what I wanted with the color and low and behold my hair LOOKED EXACTLY LIKE I ASKED FOR IT TO LOOK. Amber -YOU ARE SO AWESOME – I LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair and even my husband loves it. SHOCKING! Anyway – just had to tell you that I felt like I lost 10 years off of my age when I walked out of the salon. You are so easy to talk to and so sweet AND A GREAT STYLIST! Cant’ believe it took me so long to find you!
Amber is simply amazing! She shows her energy and excitement in her work! She is the ONLY hair stylist that i have found that can give me EXACTLY what i want! She makes your hair dreams come true! I would recommend Amber to anyone and everyone! I have seen her work in people of all ages and in all cases she has impressed me! Amber is AMAZING!
After trying many, many, did I say Many hair stylists, I found Amber!
She listened to me, my hair is a challenge on any given day, I explained to Amber my problems and what I needed and she just knew what to do! I trusted Amber as soon as she started explaining what my hair could or could not do, and after getting a great cut, I booked another right away along with a color, I have never had so many great comments on my hair, sometimes you don’t want to “share” your hair stylist… but Amber Rocks and I want to spread the word!
Amber rules! Plain and simple. She works miracles with guy’s cuts whether short or long….or receding like me! I’ve received compliments on the new ‘do’ ever since I first came to her back in December. The only thing I can’t understand is why she always laughs at me when I ask her to give me a perm so I can look like Justin Timberlake…oh well
Finally someone who can tell me what I need to do with my hair. Amber is great – she knew exactly what to do with my type of hair and my color has never looked better. I highly recommend her.

She is the only stylist I’ve liked since moving to LA over 2.5 years ago.

Amber took care of my hair color and cut and did an incredible job! I went into the salon with no clue what needed to be done and she worked with my ideas to give me an amazing new look! I have been going to Amber since June of this year, after carefully searching online for a new stylist. Over the past 5 months, I have had four appointments with Amber. She has exceeded my expectations by far.
I am known by my friends & family for constantly changing my hair. They alomst expect my hair to be different every time they see me. Finding a stylist that can keep up with me has been difficult until I found Amber.
Amber actually “listens” to what it is you are wanting to accomplish with your hair from the cut & color to the style to the actual condition of your hair. She also provides suggestions if your having a difficult time deciding what to do. Every time I have seen her I have asked for something different and she has achieved exactly what I’ve wanted each and every time.
The moment I knew Amber was permanently going to be my stylist was during my appointment I had before the last one. I am pregnant, and we were changing the color. However, I believe that due to my crazy hormones, the color didn’t come out the way I had envisioned it. I didn’t say anything. However, Amber did. She said that the color wasn’t what we had planned on and insisted on re-doing the color using a different formulation to achieve what we were going for, and it came out perfect the second go. Now that’s a stylist with integrity, which is usaully my issue with most hair stylists. That’s when I knew she was a keeper.
This last time I had my hair done, I decided I wanted to go for a vibrant rich red. I have asked for this in the past with other stylists, but they are never capable of reaching the vibrancy and richness in color that I’m going for. Amber nailed it!!!! She is also, the only stylist I have found that knows how to properly perfomr the “slicing” technique when thinning out thick hair.
Amber has been a perfect match for me and my hair. Overall, I highly reccomend Diesel Salon. All the staff is genuine and sincere and all seem to be extremely talented. The salon as a whole has also exceeded my expectations in customer service. Keep up the good work!!!!
Amber has been doing my hair for almost 4 years now. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. I never tell her what I want her to do, I just trust her and my hair always looks amazing! Love you Amber!

I have been coming to see Amber for haircuts regularly for about a year now. Amber is an AMAZING stylist. I always come in looking and feeling like the cat just dragged me in. After a haircut with Amber, I always feel like I’ve been transformed into a beautiful princess, feeling vibrant and on top of the world.
Not only is Amber great at her craft, she is very personable and easy to talk to. She always asks you for your opinion along the way so you always get what you ask for. I always look forward to my appointments with Amber and would highly recommend her to anyone.
